Description

Wood carved African statues. This pair has been carved from wood and painted. Their stretched ears indicate they are likely representing the Fulani, Mursi or Maasai (most likely Maasai due to the degree of ear stretched) tribes.

Beautiful, regal expressions. He holds an oar than can be transferred to his other hand. She appears to be holding a water pitcher. Their skin is dark wood, their garb is orange. She stands on a triangular wood pedestal, his is oval; both are sturdy.

They are 13" tall, unsure of the type of wood. In excellent vintage condition; please examine pictures, there's some spotting behind the man's right ear (5th photo).

A statement piece of home décor that beautifully captures African folk art.
