Description

For some time I have been inspired by several design movements, Rat Rods, Steam Punk, Post Apocalyptic and more. To me it seems like a very human reaction to the mass of products and marketing pushed down our throats by massive commercial organizations that has no interest in us, other than making money from us.
For several years I've made organic sculpture, lamps, and LED lights with crushed glass that express my frustration with commercial products available. This Salt Server is my current expression.

Being an expert metal worker and using all the equipment in my shop, I am able to take scrap Stainless Steel from restaurant equipment and fashion these very durable items.

They are entirely made from Stainless Steel (and some glass marbles) even the Rod I use in my TIG welder is recycled from a tortilla factory belting. This I use this to weld up the feet and marble settings. The finished bowls are heat treated to give the interesting patina. This makes for a very durable finish that is able to withstand any normal cleaning process, scrubbing, dishwasher, etc.

This small dish measures 5" long 3 1/2" wide & 5" high and is signed with my LoGo.
