WHAT ARE BEEwrapped FOOD WRAPS?

BEEwrapped Food Wraps are the environmentally friendly alternative to plastic bags, containers & cling film. They provide a sustainable, 'zero-waste' & reusable option for food storage.

Ideal as a cover for bowls and dishes - To use the wrap as a cover for bowls use the warmth of your hands to gently soften the wrap and allow it to stick to itself and then the container. You need sufficient overlap to allow this to happen. In cold weather this will take slightly longer time.

Ideal as a wrap for cheese, snacks and sandwiches – fold the wrap into place and press the fabric together and if you can’t press firmly to allow the fabric to stick together due to the nature of the contents you could use a rubber band or string to hold in place. The wrap will become firmer when placed in the fridge.

WHERE ARE THEY MADE?

Our BEEwrapped food wraps are lovingly handmade on our property, Benaroon Farm, on the mid north coast of NSW. All beeswax used is sourced locally from ethical honey farmers using ‘best practice’ hive management. Fabrics are primarily sourced within Australia but are not Australian made.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BEEwrapped FOOD WRAPS?

To ensure good outcomes for your wrap or cover you should avoid raw meats, onions and heat sources. Do not leave in full sun or in hot enclosed spaces.

The longevity of your wrap will depend on the regularity and style of use – you should expect a minimum of 6 months and possibly up to 12 months usage. The fabric will develop creases with use and it is suggested that you dedicate wraps to certain sized bowls or items so as to minimise creasing. The fabric can always be replenished with beeswax to refresh and extend its life.

For washing - shake of any crumbs, place on kitchen benchtop and smooth out any creases and wipe clean with a cold moist sponge with a little eco-friendly detergent if necessary. Place on towel rail to dry off.

There may be slight imperfections and variations in the wraps due to the hand-making process and sometimes variable nature of beeswax and cloth. We do not consider that any of these imperfections will impact on the performance of the product.
