LAST TIME REDUCED! $100.00 This rare handmade tribal wedding basket has a frame of fiber and is covered with cowrie shells and leather. It is in very good condition. It measures 14" from side to side, 10" from front to back and 10" tall. It is covered with Cowrie shells which are held in very high regard. Cowrie shells were used as a form of currency. This basket comes with a lid, and is believed to have been made by the Hausa People of Nigeria. I have owned this for decades and has been in a smoke/scent free home. 14” Long x 9” wide x 13” high, strap 39 ½” long, vintage item. No missing shells. It is very hard to find these baskets covered with this MANY shells! Ships from Boise, Idaho, U.S. sales and shipping only, as is condition, check photos carefully. NO RETURNS.
