GENERAL HISTORY: In a time where the public craved amusement and longed for pomp and extravagance, London experienced a cultural revolution at a time when Seltzer water had become an essential ingredient of popular cocktails, which made it easy for the Sparklets London Soda Siphon to beguile a young generation.

In the early 1900s, Sparklets had devised and patented a system to use CO2 bulbs instead of a stationary filling system, and so they perfected in the 1920s C-Type Soda Siphon and in the 1930's the D-Type Soda Siphon. The mouth-blown glass bottle was manufactured in Czechoslovakia between 1920 and 1930. All metallic parts were manufactured in the UK and the Siphon was assembled at the Sparklets factory in London.

As the jazz age blossomed in the 1920s, young Londoners began spending their nights in cigar & jazz clubs as well as dance halls where Gin & Tonic or Whiskey-Soda were served. Sparklets London Soda Siphon thus became the symbol of an era.

Finally in the 1930s, during the golden era of film when the first motion pictures were released in color, Sparklets Soda Siphons were regularly seen in features like “The Three Stooges” or “The Marx Brothers” and consequently appeared in homes too. They remain iconic and Indelible today.

I love him! I was a little surprised at his size but I had the perfect place in my home. It's amazing how perfect he is considering his age. Thank you!
