An adorable crocheted Benny Bear! If using the recommended hook size and yarn, your bear should be approximately 7.5” tall and 6.5” wide .

For this pattern you should be familiar with:

magic circle technique and working in the round
increasing and decreasing stitches
stitching facial features on amigurumi projects

st - stitch(es)
sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
inc - increase (two single crochet in the same stitch)
dec - decrease (single crocheting 2 stitches together)
R - round
MC - main colour
AC - accent colour

Materials:

Size H / 5mm crochet hook
1 skein medium/worsted weight yarn of your choice (ex. Red Heart Yarns Supersaver, Bernat Super Value, Vanna’s Choice or Loops & Threads Shabby Yarn, available at Michael’s craft stores)
1 skein (or less) of same weight yarn for accenting stripes
Bit of black yarn in same weight for nose
12mm safety eyes (optional -- you can always stitch on eyes if preferable!)
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Fiber fill or polyester stuffing
Locking stitch marker
