Oh, so hard to describe how we got HERE!!!

This piece is the photographic record of a transient event. The most important part of the work is not the fact that it is a "photograph" so much as it is that the photograph was the only way to preserve what was happening with some watermedia (mostly acrylics) that were moving really fast through a dispersion process (I didn't do anything to deserve this, it just happened, or I allowed it to happen, on its own).

Anyway . . . (I have a hard time getting through this without getting off on a thought-tangent, remembering the experience of these floating colors drifting around in their container . . . oh, there it goes again . . . ) The end result was two things. The first was a few "choice" photographs of some of the moments of changing and merging colors (before they sort of turned to marbly-looking "mud"). The second (and much more precious to me personally) was the "birth" of a couple of characters in my family's life, called BioMorps (don't ask, if you don't really want to know!). You will see these--Mommy and Baby Biomorp, as well as more recently-discovered cousins, friends, and others--in other work displayed here.

This is an interesting and dynamic abstract piece, with the elements that (\/who) revealed themselves to be Morps featured prominently as vibrant orange-red elements against a cooler "exploding" background.

The size at which this piece can be printed varies; it has been displayed as an 8 1\/2" x 11" matted print, would probably look great as a larger piece, and if anyone wanted it smaller, that could be done, too (although I somehow think it might not have all its "punch" at 4 x 6 or so).
