Vintage Jewelry - Vintage Beaded Choker

Gorgeous multi strand Laguna crystal and faux pearl choker necklace. Laguna produced some of the best crystal necklaces from the 40s to the 70s and the quality was very high. The faux pearls in this necklace have a lovely soft appearance and are in fabulous condition - I am hesitant to sell faux pearl jewelry because there are often finish issues, but I could only find one tiny nick on one bead in this necklace. The aurora borealis beads in this vintage necklace have a special shape (called aspirin or nailhead crystals) that make them extra sparkly.

SIZE/CONDITION:

Measured using the shortert strand, this necklace is 17" from the tip of the hook to the end of the extender chain. Hook signed Laguna - excellent vintage condition.

ABOUT LAGUNA:

Laguna was a trademark used by Royal Craftsman, Inc. on jewelry beginning in the mid 1940s. Laguna is best known for high quality beaded jewelry featuring aurora borealis (AB) beads, some clear, others in vibrant colors. Some pieces also included high quality faux pearls. The company ceased doing business in 1980.

I've included a photo of a 1959 ad from Vogue for Laguna Jewelry. The necklace in the photo (in 2018 dollars) would have sold for about $175 - this necklace has more strands and is more complex, so it would likely have been significantly more expensive.

Returns and exchange details

I want you to be really happy with your purchase. I am very picky about quality and don't offer anything for sale that I feel has a condition problem. Vintage jewelry, by its nature, has some degree of wear - but I try not to offer pieces that have noticeable flaws. If you receive something that has an unexpected issues with its condition, please contact me and we'll figure out the best way to fix the problem (return/refund, exchange, etc.).

What if you change your mind? I offer refunds for items returned and received by me within 14 days of purchase. Buyer pays for return shipping, with insurance and delivery confirmation. I will process a full refund upon receiving the item (assuming it is in the same condition as sent). Please contact me before returning an item so that I can be expecting it.

Please note - insuring and item is always the responsibility of the shipper. If you return an item, you must purchase insurance in case the item is damaged or lost during shipment back to me. Refunds are only issued upon receipt of an item in a condition identical to that in which the item was shipped, so please be sure to pack the item carefully.

Please note that all listings include a processing time - even in the event that expedited shipping is selected. My processing time (especially during holiday seasons) is usually short, but IF YOU REQUIRE SAME DAY OR NEXT DAY SHIPPING and that is faster than the processing time indicated, please get in touch prior to purchase so that I can confirm that I can ship on the schedule you need. All processing times are expressed in business days, so an item purchased on a Friday with 1 day processing may not go out until the following Monday.

If a customer supplies an address that cannot be verified by the USPS, I will contact the customer to clarify the address and I reserve the right not to ship until a verified address is supplied, regardless of the processing time indicated.

At times, and for certain items, I offer free shipping. When free shipping is offered, it only applies to the first time the item is shipped. If an item is returned and must be reshipped (and the error is not mine :), the customer will need to pay an additional fee for such reshipment.

Additional policies

All items have been held by me in a smoke free, pet free environment. I do not ship anything that I believe has an unpleasant "aroma", dust or dirt. If you are concerned, however, about a previous owners pets or smoking habits, I do not have that information, so please take that into account during purchase.

All items ship in the same condition as photographed. Photographed items usually have been gently cleaned (unless otherwise indicated). All items are pre-owned and may show slight wear - if you have any concerns about an item's condition, please ask questions before purchase.
