Description

Sorry, we could not translate this listing to English.
In the spirit of the Minoan ☼ ☼ collection, here is a pair of asymmetrical earrings, entirely designed and created by myself with raku items unique and small light glass charm.

The glass charms, small drops raspberry with bluish reflections created by Emilie, suspended from pretty French brass links, pendants made by me with the Japanese technique of raku ceramic-based.
Hand dyed silk cords, color raspberry, harmonized with the glass.

☼ Raku means: happiness in hasard☼... it is also the magic of fine cracks that appear in the glaze on gradient blue, celadon background in pale blue-green.
Black parts are made of old patterns, smoky, left raw, like on the back, matte black.

Glass charms tinkle when the earrings move on the glazed ceramic.

***********

-Total length of each element raku: 41 mm approx
-Width approx 20 mm (raku items are slightly asymmetrical)
-Weight: 6 to 7 grams each earring.
-Metal: hook brass, lead, nickel free. French manufacturing.

Feel free to contact me by email for more info or custom orders, I will answer with pleasure :)

The RAKU technique:

1 put I shape my items through with the white grog clay (stoneware)
2 items dry
3 I cooked at high temperature in a suitable kiln in my workshop
4 terracotta is ready to be glazed
5 covers the object with a transparent glaze (frit)
6 item goes into a (flame projected on the inside) gas kiln for firing glazes.
7 A out of the oven I seized the object using pliers and I quickly locks it in a bowl of metal with wood chips
(or straw paper) that ignite: is smoking.
During the smoking unglazed black.
8 object came out shortly after and is cleaned: black cracks called "lézardes" through the glaze.
