✭ Care for your jewelry:
Aluminum will never tarnish. Brass and copper will overtime oxidize (change color). This is natural and many people enjoy the antiqued look of the metal. If you prefer to keep your piece shiny, you can rub it with a sunshine cloth or super fine steel wool (#0000). Other options are to soak it in some lemon juice or vinegar and then rub it with a little salt. It returns to new! Also, brass rings love to get cleaned! So feel free to keep them on when you wash your hands!

** Please note: brass does have some copper in it, and while not everyone has a reaction to it, some people are sensitive to it, and it can leave a green mark. It's harmless, and I've noticed that the more acidic your body is, the more of a reaction you can have as well. One idea, if you are sensitive, is you can paint a layer of clear nail polish on the inside of the ring and it will add protection against this in the future. Otherwise I do have an option for a gold filled ring which is a little skinnier, or the silver option has a much less skin reaction risk as well!
Sometimes with frequent wear, (depending on how hard you are on your jewelry), the black in the lettering may fade. You can easily fix it by going over the letters with a sharpie, and then quickly wiping it off before it dries. Again, sunshine cloths are best but any jewelry cloth will work.

I add a sealant to brass and copper to prevent tarnishing and turning fingers green. It wears off over time. An easy fix is to add a small amount of clear nail polish.
Gemstones can be cleansed by leaving them out at full moon or with sage.
