Description

I LOVE glyphs, symbols, icons, pictographs - bits of lines put together to scrape out a feeling or meaning. One day, while I was working on creating digital sigils from symbols and shapes found in the symbols palette, I started seeing titties everywhere. Digital breasts here and there, just waiting to be acknowledged and put together! They made me laugh in that way that we all laughed when we typed 58008 into our calculators in grade school (okay, high school too). But it also made me think - in that weird way that so many seemingly silly things make me think.

What's in a glyph, or a symbol? So many of these symbols that we have access to were created for very specific purposes - often mathematics - but many of them are also direct descendants or copies of ancient pictographs that have been etched into stones since man first learned to draw. Symbols are the first way the humans learned to record and share their history and culture, and they are the things we have traditionally used in all forms of magick to harness, cultivate, and protect us from various energies and entities.

Have you ever sat down and tried to create a symbol, a glyph, a pictograph? It can be incredibly difficult - even impossible feeling - to do so. It seems on the surface like such a small task, such a small creation, but in reality it is so much more intense a challenge than the most detailed painting. Creating a symbol is the act of creating a universal representation - while using incredibly few marks or lines to convey that meaning.

With each symbol, it seems to me that a bit of the mystery of the universe and her effusive energies is harnessed, if even only for a moment. And at the core of it, isn't that what each and every one of us living creatures is? A momentary harnessing of the very forces of existence that keep the cosmos breathing? In this way, aren't we all our own symbols, glyphs, icons? What is an avatar but a humanistic pictograph? And what are we but avatars in the matrix of life and universal reverberation?

Highfalutin - okay, you could see it that way. But this is what these symbols spoke to me as I started to search for the ones that reminded me of the beautiful variety of breasts some of us find ourselves in ownership of. I have so much respect for all the illustrators, designers, makers, and thinkers who have put forward their energies to encourage the de-objectification of the female breast and nipple (and of the human body in general!) - as well as for anyone who dares to embody their true existence, no matter how irrationally uncomfortable that act may make others feel.

I believe that together we can continue to work towards and strive for a culture that frees itself from the oppression and biological xenophobia that so many of us - trans, female, non-binary, male, etc - are affected and marginalized by. The more we all work through love and compassion to find the ways in which we can embody our true physical forms and energies, the more we will discover the freedom to live that truth without making so many people afraid of their own.

All esoteric conversation aside, these pins are just good old fun and should appeal to the engineer/mathematician/coder/typography nut/designer in your life! Because there are 8 buttons you can keep them all or give some away. You can swap them out or wear them all at once! Maybe hand them out at your local library! Either way - these buttons are sure to brighten your day and make you think twice about the symbols and glyphs you see each and every day!

Concept, design, and production is all done in house, by me. You will receive ONE package of eight 1" buttons, each button featuring a different design. The buttons come packaged in fun ICTC packaging - please see the photos for details! All orders come with a thank you note and a free ICTC button, as well as some fun toys or trinkets. If you are sending this as a gift and would like it discreetly wrapped or to include a special note, please let me know when you place your order and I will do my best to accommodate your request 💗

FAQs

I do not expect many returns because I truly believe that every order I fill is the result of an exchange of energy that led the person placing the order to do so. I fill each order with the purchaser in mind - and I extend my love, strength, and good vibrations into each product and package. In this way, and because I make every item to order, almost every order I fill is a Custom Order.

If you do feel dissatisfied with your order, I implore you to contact me before requesting a return. I strive to make each of my customers happy, and I promise to work with you in such a situation to make you not just happy but truly excited about and connected to your order.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - contact me first! Thank you so much for understanding!
In general, I will try to make and ship your order within 1-3 days of your order being placed. I hand make almost every item I sell, and I make each item once it is ordered. If for some reason I foresee a delay in the processing of your order I will contact you immediately! Otherwise, please allow 1-3 days for processing (this does not including shipping time!). Thank you!
I am always happy to talk to you about a custom or personalized order. A lot of the jewelry I sell is already custom made, and some things - like the Peace Bracelets - are already personalized. I am also happy to include a special note with any order if it is being sent as a gift. Please let me know if this is something you would like!

If you are looking for something completely custom made for you, however, I am always excited to create something special for customers. I love creating custom pieces of jewelry, graphic design or illustration, stationary/paper products/cards/invitations, or 1" buttons!

Please feel free to email me to get the custom process started! Thank you for your interest!
Measuring yourself is very simple & if you take the time to take an accurate measurement you will be that much happier with your purchase!

For chokers & bracelets, you will want to measure around the spot on your neck or wrist that you want the piece of jewelry to sit at. Be sure to measure snugly - don't wrap the measuring tape tightly, but be sure to keep it right close to your skin. I will add .5" to your measurement to make a snug fit. If you want a looser fit, pleas be sure to either order .5" up from your true measurement, or select your true measurements but include a note during check out that you would prefer a looser fit.

I do not accept returns on items that do not fit - it is your responsibility to order the correct size.
