Big, tall bench scrapers by Fat Girl Cakes. These scrapers are hand-made in the USA in my garage workshop. The blade is the length selected by 4 inches made from 304 Stainless Steel with the familiar brushed appearance for durability. The handle is made from real Brazilian Cherry hardwood and is unfinished. The handle is attached to the blade with two high quality cutlery rivets which are nickel silver to resist tarnish and staining of the wood.

These are dishwasher safe, but wood may start to splinter or get rough after multiple cycles. Cutting board oil can be used to refresh handle if necessary.

Surface scratches on the blades is to be expected as the metal blades are processed, but these do to affect performance. Please wash before using as the metal does come with a protective film that can leave residue and they are handle quite a bit during the assembly and shipping process.

These were designed with some of my complaints of other bench scrapers on the market. The handle allows for the blade to be heated in a pot of water and still a handled without gloves or an oven mitt. The handle is shorter than the blade so it stays out of the way when going around a cake. The blade is longer so that 6" and taller tiers can be easily smoothed.

Great for smoothing icing, buttercream (all kinds) and ganache on cakes, particularly double-barrel ones, as well as cutting fudge, brownies, bar cookies and dough. We have even had folks use them for bread making, candle-making, soap making and chopping BBQ!
