A tumbler or pint glass or simply: a cup. It'll hold your water, your tea, your beer, your juice, it's a smooth warm cup nothing more nothing less.

13.5h x 10w cm.
375 mL.

This cup was thrown on my kickwheel in my Vienna, Austria studio and fired in Saxony, Germany.

Made of a stoneware clay of my own design, and my feldspar-kaolin shino glaze that's thick and milky white with hints of red and orange.

Fired in a "Sasukenei" woodfired kiln for approxmiately 72 hours to temperatures around 1360°C (2480°F, cone 14). It was put towards the front of the kiln and so during the firing melted wood flew through the kiln and landed on the cup, giving it kisses of matte and glossy green glass that's pure wood ash.

Food-safe and dishwasher safe, although handwashing is recommended to keep you enjoying it for years to come.

All of my pots are fired to stoneware temperatures; that is, in excess of 1240˚C (2264˚F). This high temperature makes the glaze and clay waterproof and strong. "Stone"ware for a reason. Unless otherwise noted, all items are dishwasher safe. However, I do recommend washing by hand to protect your investment.

Some of the glazes may develop small cracks that become more obvious with use. This is a natural product of the glazes and glazing process, called crazing, and only adds to the pot's handmade character.
Please ensure a secure shipping address, because I cannot be held liable for theft or loss of a package.

I pack my work securely, just as I would want to receive it. However, in the unlikely case your pot arrives damaged, I will happily exchange it for a similar pot of equal value.
I do my best to accurately represent all my work, in words and pictures. However, because each piece is unique, dimensions are approximate. Please allow for slight variations in size, shape, and color, consistent with the piece's handmade nature.
If you would like to stop by and see me work, or pick up your purchase in person, I'd love to see you! Just leave a note at the checkout stage of your order, or send me a message, and let's set up a time.
