Rice Fields in Arkansas in the Springtime is based on a recent trip through northern Arkansas. The landscape was breathtaking in the soft spring air. The weather was changing between light rain and brilliant sun, causing the fields to glow with the soft greens of spring. The painting captures the softness of the light, the moisture in the morning air and the feeling of endless fields stretching to the horizon.
The painting surface is slightly textured with layers of paint showing through. The uniting shades of purple and violet underpainting are visible on the edges of the painting.
This painting was painted on canvas and secured to board for a rigid flat surface 1/8" suitable for framing.

"Senoia Road: Summer" is wonderful. I've placed the painting in the architecturally-nondescript and confined dining area of my "L" shaped living / dining room. It transforms the space, drawing one into the painting and causing the walls to disappear, so to speak. I can't thank you enough for mailing it to me with such incredible speed and packed with such incredible care. Amazing.
