This unusual air tight stash box is based around a food safe storage tin. The tin is made from coated steel and has a plastic ring in the lid which provides an air tight seal. The lid utilizes 4 twist lug threads (a slight turn opens and closes the box). Since this box is based on a triangle, I engraved stars under the lid and on top of the body to assure perfect alignment when closed.
These tins work well as a stash or keepsake box for storing herbs and spices, loose leaf teas, candy, or chocolates, as well as keepsake items.
This would also make a nice urn for an infant or small pets up to 14 pounds.

This is a large version of the box seen here:

Dimensions: 4″ x 4″ x 3″
Interior: 2.75" by 2.1", 8 oz container

The finish I use is a CAB acrylic lacquer from Sherwin Williams with the vinyl sealer base coat. I often use paste wax with steel wool to make the piece feel better to the touch and to bring out the sheen.
Very little care if any is necessary aside from removing dust occasionally. You can use an air canister if you like. You may also use any wax type polish to bring out the sheen. If alcohol or a chemical gets on the piece, wipe off immediately. Letting a chemical sit will ruin the finish.
The leather lining I use is a synthetic suede called Ultrasuede. It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Custom orders are accepted based on wood type only, unless a large quantity is desired. My boxes are all made in batches and are not conducive to size changes. I can do monograms as seen in this listing:
