From my personal collection and selling together
Rodney Preece Bluebill duck decoys
Pair including the Male and the female
The male is black and female is brown
Marked as Preece would usually do to recognize his decoys

History references taken in "The Rivermen" Echoes of lake St.Francis book by Roy Lefebvre and Norman Seymour These 2 duck decoys are pictured in the above mentioned ref book on pa 212

Rodney Preece was born in 1917 Originally from Hawkesbury Ontario.
He has retired to a riverside place in l'Orignal Ontario.
He was a hunter on the Ottawa river with his father.
Rod produced 100 of decoys which were mostly used on the Ottawa river but some have shown up on the St-Francis lake

This nice pair of 1940-1950 decoys are primarily made in cedar wood as they all were in this era.
Nice primitive pieces to add to your collection

Size: 14" long
Condition: Used condition and as pictured Weight has been removed
