This pattern is a variation of the original Link Shawl pattern which was chosen as the winner of KW Knitting Guild First Original Lace Design as chosen by Anne Hanson of

The pattern has been modified for knitting in the round to make a lovely cowl. It also features two edging options: scalloped and straight.

Intermediate lace knitting. Ability to understand charts and varying stitch count from row to row. PATTERN IS CHART AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.

Suggested yarn
Light fingering. 225m-300m depending on length desired and yarn thickness.

Suggested needle size
3.75 mm to 4.5 mm, 40cm circular needle depending on thickness of yarn and gauge.
Stitch markers if needed.
Pictured cowl was knit using 225m of light fingering weight handspun made from Sericin Silkworks Mink Silk Merino Cashmere Spinning Batts, 4.5 mm needles, 7 pattern
repeats, 6 row repeats. Finished size 24” x 12”.
