Step by step instructions for making these awesome roller printed earrings, with or without a torch! This is a lesson in beginning metal smithing, with 21 pages and 74 huge photos. This tutorial covers everything you need to know in clear, simple language with a photo for each and every step, plus so much more.

This class really runs you through the mill, but you‘ll swear you love it! Use a rolling mill to texture metal dangles for your earrings. Learn a unique way to connect it all with balled wire connectors. You will use a torch to anneal (soften) metal and to draw a ball on the ends of sterling wire connectors. Learn about the many texturing options the rolling mill offers. No rolling mill? Alternative tool suggestions are included. No torch? Cool Tips offer advice for a heat-free version! Chock full of details, special tips, and great photos. A detailed section covering annealing is included.

16 or 18 ga sterling wire, 4"
18 ga sterling wire, 4"
4 jump rings
2 ear wires

Bench block
Mallet
Jewelry pliers
6" file, Needle files
Wire cutters
Metal shears
Hole punch or center punch and drill
Rag
Scissors

Soldering board
Cross-lock tweezers
Index card (for template)

I love this tutorial and design by Lisa. The tutorial is great with lots of pictures and personal comments. Highly recommend this for the beginning metalsmiths.
