A sharp, well-defined chromolithograph of various aquatic lifeforms from a volume of Schubert's Natural History. Printed in Germany in 1886.

The various creatures are identified at the bottom of the white part of the plate in German and Latin.

The colours are very vivid and lifelike. The paper has a wonderful patina. Blank on the back. Very slight smudging. This print is in very good condition. Sufficient margins all around for framing. Any watermark, whimsical or otherwise, does not appear on the antique print.

This is an original, not a reproduction! Bananastrudel sells only originals.
