A delightful Fabric Fish stars in my newest PDF tutorial. Inspired by a Chinese Baby Hat, fish in China symbolically represent ‘abundance’, ‘surplus’ and ‘plenty’. Pin your fish on a pillow, hat or sweater and surely you will be endowed with these traits! This project is a wonderful way to use all those tiny scraps of fabric you have been saving for something special!

Finished size of fish is about 7 inches long, 6 inches wide and approximately 1 1/2 inch in width.

Supplies needed:
*Photo copies of images
*8 to 12 small pieces (6” square +/-) of color coordinated and contrasting fabrics - cottons, wools, brocades, velvets etc. (Avoid very thin fabrics)
*Fabric scissors
*Decorative scallop or pinking scissors
*HEAT N BOND ‘ultra-hold’ iron on adhesive or similar
*Thin Florist wire - you will need about 50”.
*Black felt - 12” square
*Black quilting thread
*Sewing needle
*Small flat beads for embellishment and decoration.
*Fabric Glue (optional)
*Textured yarn - 1 yard
*Gold wire, 26 or 28 gauge - 8”
*Pin back, large size
*Colored batting or yarn - small handful.

PDF is designed to fit standard letter size paper, (8.5" x 11") and A4 size paper
Note: I find that the better the paper you have the better the copies you will get. I use 'Matte Photo Paper' whenever possible, especially for image printing.
