Coral is highly-prized as a substance believed to be endowed with mysterious sacred properties. It is a symbol of modesty, wisdom, happiness, and immortality.

Coral is among the most ancient of gem materials, used for adornment since prehistoric times. Coral is an organic gem, calcium carbonate with a trace of carotene, deposited by tiny sea creatures living in the depths of warm seas in huge colonies. It grows in branches that look like underwater trees.

The Vase of Treasure exemplifies the endless riches to be found in the teachings of the Buddha. No matter how much wisdom and spiritual insights he gave away, his resources were never depleted. In Eastern tradition, vases filled with sacred and valuable items are placed upon altars and other sites where they are believed to attract harmony and riches.

Hindu and Tibetan perspectives about clouds reveal concepts of transition - but in more of a temporary way. In this view, clouds are symbolic of impermanence.

Gorgeous Large Tibetan Tribal Jewelry Rings handcrafted in Sterling Silver with Red Coral, This traditional style is called a "Saddle" Ring because it is shaped like a stylized Yak saddle.

Similar to cattle, Yak is a herd animal found in the Himalayas. They are treasured possessions in Tibetan Tribal culture and are often treated as valued members of the family. Yak are used as beasts of burden, and also provide transportation, wool, hides, horns, milk, and meat.

They are said to be extremely beautiful and very affectionate creatures. Art and jewelry are often made in shapes associated with the Yak to express great appreciation and prosperity.

This style of the ring represents a stylized Yak saddle, with its slightly raised ends. This substantial contemporary ring was handcrafted by Tibetan Tribal Jewelry artisans living in exile in Nepal.
