Description

This is a kit for making your very own pair of viking turn shoes! This pattern is for ankle shoes, with a wrap-around tie closure, based on a find from Hedeby/Haithabu, Germany.

I've used the same leather that I use for my final product, with thick, cow hide veg tan for the soles, and thinner, oil-tan cow hide for the upper part of the shoe. The veg tan is sturdy, and will withstand wear and tear from walking, while the oil-tan on the upper is supple and soft, so they're comfy and ready-to-wear as soon as they're finished.

All the holes in the soles and uppers are pre-punched, all you have to do is sew! Upon purchase, I will link to you an instructional video, with tips and tricks along the way.

Included in the kit:
- Right and left soles, with holes punched
- Right and left uppers, with side holes, holes for a front seam, and holes for laces
- Two laces

Required to complete the shoes (not included in the kit):
- needles (I recommend dull, glovers needles)
- thread (I recommend waxed nylon thread for sewing awls)
- pliers
- an awl or something to help push the needle through.

Bought this, seller messaged me and told me she lives in a different country now and the shipping cost was more than I paid and she wouldn't be able to ship it for another week, so I had her cancel the order, got my refund quickly.
