Description

deSTASH, Country Classic Knitting Yarn, Thick and Thin yarn, Homespun Worsted, Black knitting yarn, brown sheep company yarn, yarn to felt

DeSTASH time and more black yarn for you!

One skein available of this awesome vintage black wool yarn by Brown Sheep Company. Made in the USA, the yarn is called "American Home-spun Worsted" (but don't ask in an antique shop for "home-spun"... they'll argue that it's fabric, not yarn!). The yarn has a thick and thin texture but it does not get that thick or thin... fairly even. I used this yarn for an oversized black sweater coat with awesome results.

Color: R-50 Coal Black
Lot #002

Net Weight: 4oz
Approx 190 Yds
"approximately" 100% wool (whatever that means!)

Gauge: 18.0 sts = 4 inches
Needle size: US #8 - 5.0 mm

Stored in my smoke-free, pet-free home since purchase (in the 1990's).
