American Flag Blanket Crochet Pattern pdf 235
Digital file type(s): 1 PDF
This afghan took many hours of planning. I used schematics for the American Flag and made it as true to dimensions as I could. Stars & stripes are all proportionately correct. I also made the stripes more like a fabric so there are no holes between stitches (and it’s not sc). I also incorporated the stars right into the blanket so they don’t need to be sewn on.

I really enjoyed this pattern. It was very easy to follow and the finished blanket was amazing! I loved how it turned out! I had a lot of fun crocheting this, it was very relaxing. The Linked Double Crochet gave the stripes a very nice look and I enjoyed learning a new stitch. I loved how the stars are encased in blocks so they are all the right distance apart no matter what. I'd say it took me about 24 hours to make this flag blanket over about 2 months. Thanks to Kristine for such an amazing and beautiful pattern that looks very much like an authentic American flag!
This is a great pattern! The method for crocheting the stars is genius. I hate sewing tiny pieces together and the thought of sewing 50 stars onto a flat piece like a blanket sounded awful to me. So I loved, loved, loved that these stars are like tiny granny squares. Overall, very well written and easy to follow.
Great pattern, easy to follow. Made my son a hero flag for his 18th birthday. I did cheat (time restraint) and used a double instead of the stitch specified. It is gorgeous and he loves it!! Next one will be the correct stitch. The sample I did with that stitch was gorgeous!!
Was not a big fan of how this pattern was written. I finally figured out the stars but ended up doing something different on the stripes. I like how it turned out.
