“Blazing Autumn Trees” is a stylized depiction of fiery fall foliage through a stand of trees. The colorful leafy background was created from a variety of fabrics in hues of crimson, gold, orange and rust, and free-motion quilted with a stipple stitch. The trees were made from an assortment of fabrics, and extra batting behind the trees and branches provide an added dimensionality.

The unmistakably autumn scene is framed with a thin border of golden yellow, and a wider frame of a richly variegated brown fabric.

The back is pieced from leafy fabrics in various shades of rust and brown and has a custom label. A sleeve is sewn to the back so the quilt can be hung from a dowel.

Size: 33.5” x 25”

Construction: Machine pieced, machine quilted (domestic machine)
