Description

Published by Chatto & Windus, London; 1958. 8vo. Near Fine/Very Good. This classic modern First edition, the sequel to the popular ‘A Brave New World’ is in Near Fine condition. Bound in it’s original blue boards, the binding remains tight and strong. There is some sunning to the spine and edges with some disclolouration to the top left corner of the front board. There is just the slightest amount of bumping to the spine ends and board corners, but apart from this the boards are free from damage or marks. Inside, theree is some toning to the free endpapers and to the very edges of pages, as to be expected of a book of this age, otherwise the pages are clean and bright and blemish-free. The dust jacket is toned and sunned and there is some bumping and chipping to the edges, with some slight loss to the top edge and a closed tear across the middle of the spine just below the title. Overall, this is a nice copy of this classic piece of modern literature, which looks into it's shocking themes and compare's them to reality. In spite of the few issues previously mentioned, it is still very much in collectible condition and would make a good addition to any collection of modern first editions.
