This piece originally began its life as a Spectrum by Sergio Alvajee tie. It was found in a charity shop and has been given a new lease of life as a Silk Jabot. Working with the the flow and texture of the fabric, the design is hand stitched using silk or organic cotton thread.

Silk Jabots can be worn under jackets, shirt collars or over t-shirts. They can be worn as a necklace or scarf, instead of a tie, or as i like to wear them just because. Easy to put on and take off, they are held together with press studs that have been hand stitched in place.

Mannequin shown in images has a base of neck measurement of 33cm (approx 13 in).
