WHAT IS OXIDIZED STERLING SILVER ?

Oxidized sterling silver is sterling silver which has been darkened in a way that imitates the natural tarnishing process. If the entire piece can by oxidized but often parts of the oxidation is polished away leaving just details with a darker finish. It highlights the details and gives the appearance of more depth to the design. Oxidized silver will not be affected by the tarnish and the tarnish will allow the silver to take on a more oxidized work. Oxidized silver does not have to be polished or cleaned and can generally be left in any type of environment.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

In order to preserve your jewelry be sure to always keep it clean and dry. For the longest lasting look it's best to remove it before swimming, bathing or applying cosmetics or perfume. All silver will tarnish over time and exposure to moisture will accelerate this process . Storing in individual zip lock bags will help product your jewelry. Please note that tarnishing may occur due to the natural oxidation when certain metals are exposed to air. To remove tarnish simply clean with an anti-tarnish jewelry cloth.

MEASURING YOUR FINGER

Your ring should fit your finger comfortably; snug enough so that it will not fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle. Finger size changes depending on the time of day and the weather. For best results measure your finger size: 1. At the end of the day and when your fingers are warm (Fingers are smaller in the early morning and when cold.) Measure finger size 3 to 4 times to eliminate an erroneous reading. 2. Avoid using string or paper to measure ring size as these materials can stretch or twist, yielding an inaccurate measurement.
