Description

"This is the story of a Shoemaker and his wife who are very poor. They have only one small piece of leather left. The next morning they find the leather has been transformed into a beautiful pair of shoes. The shoes are so fine that a lady pays twice the usual price for them."
"Each morning new shoes appear and soon the shoemaker and his wife become well off. One night they decide to keep watch to see who has been making all of the shoes. They are astonished to see two little elves dressed in old, worn-out clothes."
"As thanks for their kindness the elves are rewarded by the Shoemaker and his wife with a new set of fine clothes."

About

First published in 1965 with this copy coming from C 1982. The bright red matt reverse has an original price of 60p Net and the last title in the series list is The Little Mermaid.

Condition

Good. The cover is clean with a slight crease that isn’t too noticeable. There is a little corner wear top right. The reverse is clean with some buffing wear left hand lower as you look. Please see the photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions. The spine is good with just edge and end bumps but nothing significant. There are no names or marks on the pages and they are clean, bright and intact thanks to a still good binding.
