Description

Offered is a one of kind glass tile in reds and whites, measuring 12 inches by 8 inches. It has been footed to be safe to use on any finely finished surface without making any scratches. This is a unique design due to the nature of the flowing glass and the interactions between the different colors.
This would make a special gift for any occasion. It is food safe to use as a cheese plate, to present fruit or other tasties. Please hand wash.
Made of American produced Bullseye glass in my studio here in Pennsylvania. It is a lengthy and somewhat dangerous process of raking the molten glass at about 1700 degrees to marble the colors together. Usually about 50 separate pieces of glass are cut and carefully laid out, then bubble squeezed and fused before the piece can be worked.
Once annealed, cooled and removed from the kiln, the corners were ground to soften, and the piece was refused.
Please contact me if you have more questions or would like to know more about the process.
Enjoy the result as eye candy, home decor, special tray or plate.
