OES Order of the Eastern Star candy dish, vintage china with 22 K gold trim, Royal Stafford bone china.

The Order of the Eastern Star (OES)is the largest fraternal organization in the world that both men and women can join. It was established in 1850 by Rob Morris, a lawyer and educator from Boston, Massachusetts, who had been an official with the Freemasons. The emblem of the Order is a five-pointed star which is featured in the center. This white dish which also had a 22 K gold trim and stars. The square candy dish (or maybe ashtray?) measures 4 3/4" and is in great condition. It has only been lightly wiped with a cloth, a proper cleaning can be done by its new owner. Stamped on the back is OES, Royal Stafford Bone China, Made in England.
