Description

Beautiful 40mm long authentic Dumortierite stone with onyx and dumortierite accents and 7mm sandalwood beads. Contains 108+1 beads. Designed for meditation and yoga inspired. The length of this mala is 33 inches.

Dumortierite meaning and healing properties:

This stone acts as an aid to your mental capabilities in overcoming tough situations. It opens the third eye chakra to enhance mental (and emotional) intelligence.
Learning Stone

Dumortierite promotes mental discipline especially in regard to learning new things. Students find it useful when they are required to take in large amounts of data over short periods of time, because it aids memory.
Vision Stone

Meditate or sleep with dumortierite to stimulate psychic or prophetic vision if you are gifted. Dumortierite is best known in its massive form, which makes an attractive violet and blue decorative stone when polished. It is said that this stone was discovered over a hundred years ago by a French paleontologist name of Dumortier. The African lore has long been told that dumortierite is petrified water, as it was always found in the vicinity of water.

Since the dawn of time, man has used stone beads strung in a circle as a powerful spiritual symbol. Mala, which means a "garland of beads, flowers or prayers", is also known as a rosary or prayer beads. These beautiful 108 bead necklaces can be used in meditation to count repetitions of mantras, prayers or affirmations by rotating the beads between the thumb and fingers. Worn on the body, either inside or outside clothing, these sacred pieces will carry the positive, healing qualities of the stones into your personal energy field.

I make malas because I believe and trust in them. I believe in the healing powers of stones and mantras of the mala. I believe that malas and crystals connect me with the divine and assist me in my inner journey, They have given me a great sense of peace throughout the years and I would love to share my creations with you. It is incredible to feel the love emanating from a rose quartz or the grounding strength of an onyx. The stones have a real presence and healing qualities if you tap into their essence.

** Handcrafted by me with love and intentions. Made to order.
** All malas and bracelets are cleansed with sage. They are ready to wear.
** Made with authentic / genuine materials- only genuine material have the healing properties.
** Packaged in clear plastic bags and securely wrapped. I don't use fancy boxes or bags that increase costs. Each piece comes with Gemstone info and care instructions. If you want a special note or gift wrapped for someone please leave me a message.

I’ve worn this mala every single day since I’ve got it. It’s my first real step in purchasing items relating to spirituality, and I feel this was absolutely perfect. The rock on the end is absolutely beautiful, and overall this mala feels fantastic in quality. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mala :)

Shipping policies

I ship orders ASAP. Sometimes it takes me a few days to get orders out because everything is handmade by me. I do not employ anyone else to make any of my malas in this store. So please be patient if you are waiting on an order. I am working as fast as I can to get it to you, I promise!!
If you haven't received your package in a reasonable amount of time, please feel free to message me to let me know. But please know that I am not in charge of the post office and I have absolutely NO control over a package once it is mailed. So alerting me that you haven't received it is fine, but asking me what's the hold up with the post office is not a question that I will be able to answer.

Additional policies

I am no longer accepting custom orders due to the difficulty and stress that it has caused me in the past. Thanks for your understanding.

I string my malas on nylon string that is so strong, it can literally pull a vehicle. With that being said, Customers are constantly contacting me to restring their mala. I can no longer do this service free of charge because the malas that I make should be able to stand up to normal wear and tear for at least a year. I have never broken a mala. But I am very gentle with them and do not exercise in them or get them wet.
If your mala breaks – don’t worry! It could actually be a good thing. When a mala breaks it represents karma breaking. It can be a positive sign of progression.
I will be happy to restring your mala for a fee of $15 USD which includes shipping and a new set of sandalwood or rudraksha beads.

WHEN A MALA BREAKS:
I want to share with you some information on a questions I get from people, which is “My mala broke, what do I do?”
Usually, it’s a tough moment because we become attached to our malas, having chanted and warn them for some time. But, according to the yogis, once your mala breaks, you no longer need that one. Meaning, the relationship/karma associated with the mala is complete.
So, it is a time to celebrate the end of that connection. I say Congrats!

Of course, as a business owner, I am always happy to replace a mala that breaks within a 30-day period. But, back to the yogic philosophy….I suggest taking some time for reflection after a mala breaks. Take a moment to re-read the card that describes the stones on the mala. Take note how and why that particular stone (or seed/wood) showed up in your life when it did. Reflect on how it’s worked for you from the time you received it to the time it broke.
Maybe it broke at a poignant time? Maybe it was a gift from someone who needed to be in your life at that time? Maybe you now embody the energetic property it offers? Ask yourself these questions and hear your own truth.

When you mala breaks, it’s a good idea to end your relationship with it, with palms together, head bowed. Do this with reverence as if you were making an offering, giving thanks and gratitudes. It is not recommended to throw the broken mala into a drawer because you are “going to get to it later”. You don’t want the energy of a broken mala lying around. Remember how excited you were when you received the mala? It was the beginning of a new relationship, so have that same stance/energy as you complete and end this relationship.
For example, take the mala apart and spread the beads around your garden or your home. Upcycle the beads into another form. Bury it. Whatever you do, do it with gratitude and closure.
Once my pearl mala broke on a retreat right after I had an “ah-ha” moment, I got to experience that surprise, loss, and amazement. I took the beads apart, spread them on the ground with rose petals (my favorites!) and gave thanks.
