Mount Elbert fourteener iron on merit badge. Because you earned it.
You have been there and done that. Now it is time to get the patch that lets you show it off.
Mt Elbert is a WaggonsWest original design and part of the fourteeners series started in 2017. I have been experimenting with the play of light on thread to try and represent the real shape of the mountains from their most iconic angle. Eventually all of the Colorado Fourteeners will be represented. (Message me to move your favorite up on the list.)
This is a 2 inch diameter patch made from upcycled denim. The surround is blue. The mountain is grey and green. The letters are a shade of khaki or cream to contrast with t he specific denim used. As always expect variation due to the nature of hand crafting items from upcycled materials.
Patches can be attached to almost any fabric such as bags, backpacks, jackets. They are perfect for cosplay. And the because you earned it tag makes them perfect to celebrate milestones big and small. Badges also make excellent treats or rewards for parties, home school activities and summer camp.
Patches are iron-on. Use a medium iron. Make sure your fabric is iron safe. Do not iron on plastic and check the label on synthetics. If you are putting it on an item that goes through the dryer you will need to take a few stitches to secure it as the heat from the dryer can loosen the adhesive. You can glue the patch on synthetics using a good fabric glue such as E6000 or Ailenes. If you know you are going to glue it send a message to see if I have any that are not iron on available. I can make one but it usually takes a couple extra weeks.
