Make your own natural cheese with our Vegetarian Rennet Tablets. They are a perfect for all sorts of vegetarian cheeses.

These handy tablets are scored into fourths for easy measuring and cutting. Urban Cheesecraft recipes usually call for a quarter of a tablet per gallon. So at minimum, you can make 40 batches of cheese with this strip of 10 tablets. More detailed info. below.


These tablets contain no animal products and are gluten free.

INGREDIENTS: Microbial coagulant i.e. Mucur Pussillus and/or Mucur Miehei, Cellulose Microcristaline and Sodium Chloride USP

YIELD: 1/4 tablet will set up to 2 gallons of milk. The recipes in my kits typically call for 1/4 tablet for 1 gallon of milk. Ten tablets will set a minimum of 40 gallons of milk.

DIRECTIONS: Crush desired portion of tablet and dissolve in 1/4 cup of cool, non-chlorinated water. Add to milk when specified in recipe. Stir to distribute thoroughly.

STORAGE: Store rennet tablets in the freezer. They're active a minimum of 1 year at room temp. They will last at least 4 additional years if stored in the freezer.

I take your success in making cheese very seriously and because I do this full time- I mean business! I test and fine-tune recipes and each kit repeatedly for 1-2 years before I launch anything (I ask family and friends to help test too :). FOOD SAFETY AND HANDLING: Please note that my kits and their supplies are hand-poured, hand-folded and assembled in a food-safe, fully-licensed space. The food items are all gluten-free but packaged in a room that comes in contact with wheat, soy, corn, nuts and other food allergens (with serious cleanings in between of course). The kits are also vegetarian-friendly. Just so you know. Ok! That's all I can think of. Dive in!
