Description

Rare Adrian Pearsall glass coffee table, with a finely constructed walnut base. This table is far lovelier in person, as the cut of the wood is much more delicate than is apparent from the photographs. Very good condition. Glass is pristine.

Adrian Pearsall designed some of the most exuberant and expressive American furniture of the 1950s and ’60s and his eye-catching styles are icons of what has become known as “Atomic Age” design. Pearsall studied architectural engineering at the University of Illinois and that training shows in many designs. Pearsall also had a gift for tables, and is known in particular for glass-topped side and coffee tables like this piece.

Some light markings on the wood frame that could be easily sanded down.

17 1/4" H x 40" Diameter
