Description

Very rare set. I have two sets of salad plates of what i think is pattern SCH6 or Cottage Rose Chintz by Schumann. This listing consists of 5 @ 7 7/16" wide plates with 3 rose bouquets around a central white rose. I am assuming it's the same pattern as the other set i have but they have 5 bouquets around the outside instead, but production standards weren't the same then as they are now, and you may see some inconsistencies even between these plates. I did notice one central white rose goes in a different direction from the other ones that you can see in the 7th photo if you look at them side by side.. Its rather weird and if you search around the photos i think you may see some other difference. I really cant go over every rose, but they are close enough alike, some may be darker, some may have pink centers, others may not, etc..

I don't think we ever used them and they are in very good condition. No chips or cracks.. Photos came out a bit dark and the background color is pure white with pink and cream roses and a gold rim.

They really show no wear except for that which is intentional with this very romantic chintz type of transfer with roses fading in and out. I cannot see any utensil marks or anything and the gold rim is still very good. They are probably from the 50s and because of that the porcelain and transfer are not what we are used to today. The porcelain is thinner and there are inclusions of little specks that you can see here and there a bit and the transfers are a bit inconsistent with some darker and clearer than others. But if you have Schumann china you know what i mean.

I don't do returns or exchanges, but feel free to convo questions or concerns. Shipping overage over $2 will be refunded. Pick up Boston always welcome.
