Description

Are you a descendant of the ever growing Killough family? This tee is inspired by place and time. The place being the monument to those who were massacred in the Killough Massacre in East Texas, and the time being 1838, the time of the massacre, until now, in which the survivors of the massacre and their descendants and kin, generation after generation, have gained strength, growth, perseverance, and integrity over the years by continuing to keep the account of what happened to this branch of the family alive and educate others about it. Information links are below if you would like to learn more about the massacre, the reunion, or the monument.

The tee shirts are two different styles for adults, and one style each for youth and toddler sizes.

I chose a Heather Clay colored shirt for one of the adult shirts because it is very close to the color of the East TX rock which the monument is made from. The front print on this shirt is a combination screen print and stencil print and the back print is a screen print. All prints are grey and slightly distressed. This tee is 52% cotton and 48% polyester and is lightweight. The front print text is simply "KILLOUGH GENERATIONS."This is underscored with a column of rocks from the monument. Actually the shirt color forms the rocks while the actual print in grey is the area the rocks are set in. The back print text is "KILLOUGH GENERATIONS - Our Weapons we Keep - Our Harvest is Sweet." This was inspired by the fact that those who were massacred were on their way to harvest their corn crop in their newly purchased land in the brand new Republic of TX and feeling it was safe, they chose to leave their weapons behind in one of the family member's cabins. They were ambushed on their way to their harvest and caught without their weapons, so they never got to enjoy their harvest. Of those who survived, however, many settled in the area anyway, becoming upstanding community builders and leaders, as have their descendants and kin.

The white adult option is 100% cotton, medium weight, and has an all over grey print with a clay colored print over the background print. This print includes stencil prints of all pertaining to the Killoughs, including the massacred families' homestead locations, the states where Killoughs live now (your state can easily be added if it is not on the shirt,) symbol for Canada, East TX pine trees, Sam Houston, Cherokee Chief Bowles, 1838 TX flag, symbol for Ireland, symbol for Scotland, the TX seal, the TX Cherokee seal, and the Killough Monument. On top of the all-over print on the front is the Killough name melded with rocks from the monument printed in the color of the clay rocks. To find out if your state is already on the shirt or not, contact me. I included the states mentioned in the blue geneology Killough book which has every branch of Killoughs listed. We had new people from Missouri come to the 2017 Reunion, so I added Missouri to the shirt. I am sure that by now, there are Killoughs living in every state of the United States.

The Youth sizes shirt is white, 100% cotton and is printed on the front with the Killough name melded with rocks from the monument in the red clay color of the rocks. The same red clay color is used to print the Toddler sizes shirt with just the pocket size print of the KILLOUGH GENERATIONS text. It is also white, 100% cotton.

Although I keep the shipping you pay, ALL the amount you pay for your shirt will be sent to the Killough Reunion Association to fund the upkeep of the Killough Monument. This is considered a DONATION to the Killough Reunion Association. I will have some shirts printed up for the 2019 Reunion to bring. But if you order online, it will be printed as ordered. One order can include multiples of one size/style at a time. Ordering additional sizes/styles require placing a separate order for each size/style.
