Part of a collection of photographs taken during and near the time of the 1976 New York Democratic Convention when I spent several months in NYC. This haunting portrait of young lovers about to embrace (against the stark backdrop of graffiti) was taken on a subway in Manhattan en route to the North Bronx. It is a popular image that still resonates nearly 35 years later.

This archival giclee print offers an exquisite range of tonality and brilliancy faithfully capturing this Romantic NYS Subway subject. Makes a strong impression in this larger 16x20 inch format. Suitable for immediate safe viewing (the print is clear sleeved on foam core board) and ready for framing.

Hi, I'm a photographer and artist selling my fine art prints at clydekellerphoto.etsy.com.

My work is sold as Fine Art Giclee (inkjet) prints or fade resistant Fuji Crystal Archive (photographic) prints.

Clyde is known internationally for his historic photographs of Robert F. Kennedy. His RFK images are featured in Rory Kennedy's documentary film, "ETHEL" which debuted at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights has recently acquired key images from Clyde's RFK portfolios for their collection. Historic photos of author Ken Kesey, William Burroughs and actor Bill Murray are featured in Mark Christensen's book Acid Christ. Clyde's portrait of actor/director Warren Beatty is the cover photo for Peter Biskind's, Star. Several vintage documentary images appear in a new NFL films project, entitled, "Fearsome Foursome" as well as Dan Forrer's upcoming HBO documentary film centering on the birth of Hip Hop music. The Seattle Museum of History and Science now features his vintage Seattle skyline panoramas. His regional portraits of surviving pioneer families (and characters) appear in several new books, periodicals and webzines, including Ken Bilderback's, Creek with No Name, a new soft cover about the history of Cherry Grove, Oregon.

Clyde is the grandson of Clyde Leon Keller, (1872-1962) an important Oregon-based Plein-Air Impressionist Painter. His portfolios can be viewed at www.clydekeller.com.

So… imagine my surprise when, after a lifelong search, I found and married the love of my life at the ripe old age of 60 — only to discover “The Basement!” Shortly after the wedding he mentioned that, carefully packed and stored beneath his hundred-year-old Craftsman house, was a treasure trove. He and his late wife had spent years traveling, searching and collecting in pursuit of their shared dream of opening an antique store. They never got around to opening that store but, judging by that basement, they certainly could have!

As a museum executive, a history buff — and, yes, a fellow collector — I set about the task of opening those basement doors, freeing those wonderful treasures from storage and sending them back out into the world.

That is what you’ll find in the Boudreau Collection (along with some antiques of my own) as I endeavor to combine the households of two lifelong collectors. The task has proven to be both daunting and a great deal of fun. Please take a look!

It all makes sense now--

I started painting about ten years ago on a piece of wood board i found lying around the house. I had just moved in a new apartment and i was experimenting, decoration wise.

I had never dreamed that ten years later my house would be filled with painted wood boards and that i would be selling my artwork on Etsy.
I am always amazed with the way things that seem unimportant in the beginning, end up playing such an important role in ones life.

Painting for me now is the time when i am most happy. I close my little studio door, put some music on and time travel into my whimsical animal world. All of my work reflects the state of mind i am when i make it and i feel very connected with each illustration.

Artistically my work is highly influenced by the Victorian era, Art Nouveau, circus art, old Japanese illustrations and the Lowbrow movement.

I paint on large wood boards with acrylics and i rarely make any sketches before. I only have a vague idea of what i want to do and sometimes i leave the pencil lines and corrections visible as a reminder of the 'journey' each painting had.

When the painting is finished it is scanned in high resolution and printed by a professional Konika printer in 1200 dpi on a 320 gr Rives Light paper, that after a lot of research and experimentation I found is the perfect paper for my quality prints.

Vintage black ink is national heritage and legacy, traditionally from China, Japan and Korea (Chinese: 墨; Japanese: 墨; Korean: 먹). It was widely using for ink wash painting and calligraphy. Since long time ago, people make ink from the ink stick, it has to be continuously ground against an inkstone with a small quantity of water to produce a dark liquid which is then applied with an ink brush.

Nowadays I was trying to conceptualize my ideology into the ink painting, it could be involved lots of subject, it's traditional black ink but I fused with a innovative way, I tried to make it like " Wow what's that?" and I really like the background story, the theme, the meaning, the philosophy and the idea behind every painting. It makes me fell into contemplation.

ABOUT ME: I have a HUGE body of work which not only includes paintings, but drawings and photographs. I plan in the future to present prints for sale besides my paintings. I have shown in galleries and art shows but I think I have found my perfect "niche" in Etsy -- selling online allows me the maximum amount of time to tend to my artwork and artist's psyche!

"MY PAINTINGS TELL STORIES" - My GREATEST inspiration in my childhood were the illustrations by John R. Neill for The Wizard of Oz series of books. The black and white drawings danced, flowed, moved out of the page -- so powerful! Other inspirations include "everything tropical", marine life, Chinese/Asian, flowers/plants (scenes from my property) and the look of French Provence linens and their colors -- well, let's just say: EVERYTHING!

September 16, 2012-- Featured in the treasury entitled, Days of Future Past:

Curated by Marion from PaxDesign1:

…sparkling crystals, tiny seed beads and translucent pearls strung on delicate fiber as she worked on a simple, wooden bead loom.
Beadwork is part of my history.I recall watching a dear family friend sort stunning beads that would soon embellish ball gowns. I treasured her cast-off beads and stored them in glass vials with cork stoppers. Using wire and ribbon, I created tiny rose bouquets and jewelry. I discovered bead embroidery, and it became my passion. Exploring my mother’s costume jewelry collection of classic pieces taught me about colors and texture. From my earliest days, beadwork fascinated me because it was art in miniature.

Yet for many years, beadwork took a backseat as I pursued my teaching career and raised my family. Ten years ago, I rediscovered my desire to bead. I had an image of a beautiful bracelet in my mind. I tried to find something that came close in stores but was unsuccessful. After sketching the image, I worked until it became a reality. I was surprised that my first piece drew lots of compliments. Soon family, friends and co-workers were requesting similar bracelets for themselves. I listened to what they wanted and needed: perfect fit and original design. Within a year I had a binder full of designs and a list of requests. Pax Design became an entity three years later.

Although many years have past since I watched skilled hands bead from the heart, I continue in that tradition putting my heart and soul in each unique piece. Whether it is that special bracelet for mother’s day, a bridal anklet or a reworking of a vintage piece for new generations to cherish, I am grateful for the opportunity to make the world more beautiful. In keeping with this idea, Pax Design donates a portion of special sales to several charities including Multiple Sclerosis, UNICEF, The Children’s Aid Society, and the American Heart Association.

September 10, 2012-- Featured in the I LOVE NEW YORK, treasury:

Curated by Nina Link from mimiandlu: http://www.etsy.com/shop/mimiandlu

I love toy design. I had invented many toys in my head long before I ever thought to make them in real life. My children have given me that opportunity: luckily, they appreciate things that are hand made and old fashioned and I make things for mimi&lu with them in mind. Kids like what is simple, they want to be useful, they are fascinated by history and by the natural world, but their interests are varied and ever-evolving, and that makes their world exciting and always new. I would love to capture that spirit in what I do.

Though I have never thought of myself as any kind of artist, I love to make things -- whether knit, crocheted, sewn, drawn, or edible -- and it is a good day when I have the time and opportunity to try out (and even complete!) a project that has been rattling around in my head. I come from a family of artists and artisans: my grandparents and great-grandparents include painters, cabinetmakers, dress designers, seamstresses, brick masons, and tile setters, and I am so proud to have inherited any tiny part of their collective ability.

Everything I make (whether for the shop or just for us at home) is a matter of trial and error. I do not like to follow a pattern, but to make it all up as I go along. For this reason, the seam ripper is my very good friend and I have lots of abandoned project failures, but I think the successful results of experimenting are expressive, beautiful, and (in the best possible sense) childlike. I keep my own children in mind with everything I do, so I would never make something for your kids that I wouldn't give to mine.

August 22, 2012-- Feautured in a new treasury entitled, "Paint Iconic New York" --

Curated by Martha from CircleofLifeVA: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CircleofLifeVA?ref=pr_shop_more

I started Circle of LifeVA in honor of my sister who lost her life to ovarian cancer. I formed a team named Circle of Life, and we walked in the Revlon Run/Walk in NYC to raise funds for women's cancers. The idea of honoring my sister and that team led me to form my jewelry business. A portion of the proceeds from each sale are donated to charities that support the health and security of women and their families.

I am very eclectic. Some days I love to work on a piece that is earthy and organic and another day I just can't deny myself a little sparkle and shine.

August 20, 2012-- Featured in the adorable treasury entitled, "Bookworm goes on a DATE ... of all things" -- http://www.etsy.com/treasury/NTUzODkzMHwyNzIwNjQxMzUx/bookworm-goes-on-a-date-of-all-things

Curated by Pam Robinson from cooljewelrydesign:

Eclectic by design, I love to work with color and texture and enjoy pairing the most unusual suspects together, often in an asymmetrical style. I refer to my personal style as eclectic edgy “random chaos” and I craft OOAK (one of a kind) jewelry very similar to how I cook—the recipe is often tweaked to the point of no recipe being followed—therefore, a very intuitive process. Most of my pieces are wearable boutique art that will never be copied.

I design for the unconventional free spirit--you know who you are ... likely upbeat and independent ... a person who owns their look, no apologies required.

It's important to me for you to know this: I search high and low for components that meet my high standards. For one thing, I am a real fan of our Etsy glass artists and you will see me often incorporate lampwork--so look for a footnote of explanation on that, as it reflects the quality of components and, ultimately, the pricing. Same goes for Venetian Murano glass from the island of Murano, a 5 minute boat ride from Venice.

I’m a Jersey transplant and somewhat eccentric pet lover living in the metro Atlanta area.

Aloha! My favorite thing is creating sculptures and ceramic wall masks. Especially if they cause a giggle. Whimsical, goofy, humorous, thought provoking, political satire on occasion and sometimes just bizarre, would be appropriate words to describe my work. In between sculptures and masks I hop on the wheel and get lost in a spinning world making yarn bowls, face mugs, vases, kitchen crocks, kitchen bowls, rice bowls, luminaries, sponge holders and functional art.
All the pieces in my shop have been hand sculpted, wheel thrown or a combination of both by me. All one of a kind.
They are bisque fired and then glazed fired to cone 6. All the functional pieces are food safe. They can also go in the oven, microwave or dishwasher with care.
If you're ever on Kauai, stop by my studio/gallery for a visit. . Beside ceramics and sculptures, my husbands hand carved duck decoys and birds are displayed.

My name is Michelle and I am a student at university in Edmonton, Alberta. All proceeds from this etsy shop go towards my books and tuition. I love almost everything old tymey and sepia toned. My etsy shop is a great outlet for my thrifting/collecting ways. What drives my junk hunting inspiration is knowledge from my mom, the scent of my grandma, and my own imagination.

January 29, 2012-- Featured in the "Hugs and Kisses" treasury: http://www.etsy.com/treasury/MTc0MzE2Mzd8MTk2NDY0MDU5OQ/hugs-and-kisses

Curated by Frances Clements from Inky Art; http://www.etsy.com/shop/francesclements

I am a wife and mother of two who likes to try new things. I am currently fascinated by the things that can take shape in my mind when I look at an ink blot. I believe that God can take the chaos of our lives and make order. In my own microscopic way, I imitate him by taking the chaos of a blot and turning it into something recognizable.

My shop is simply named after me for two reasons: 1. I am interested in all sorts of things. I might one day add macro photography or stuffed animals or art dolls or beaded jewelry. 2. I tend to like complicated names that others find hard to remember. If you would like to go to my shop, here is a link.

January 4, 2012-- Featured in the "Then a kiss" treasury:

Curated by Rayana White: http://www.etsy.com/people/WithTheRain

Artisan Statement:

Greetings from the Rain Forest of SE Alaska. Being born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, where we average more than 14 feet of rain per year, you want to do everything to stay warm and dry. When it comes to one’s feet that can be an endeavor. Alaska has a state shoe called Xtratufs, they are brown and crème colored rubber boots that you can see in most of my photos. We in Ketchikan, call them Ketchikan Sneakers. They come in different heights, but the color is the same. I wanted to jazz up my Xtratufs and keep my feet warm and dry. These were the inspiration for my creation of SLUGS, my fun boot liners. I first sold them in Ketchikan at our local Blueberry Art’s Festival I made 30 pairs not knowing if they would sell and sold out halfway through the day. At our next local festival I made 80 pairs and sold out. One year later, I made 115 pairs of Slugs for the Blueberry Festival and sold out. Winter arts 2010, I sold 135 pairs. I have also sold these under ThoseAlaskanGirls for a year and half on Etsy and sold 900 pairs or so. www.thosealaskangirls.etsy.com

I enjoy being creative Ketchikan and Etsy has been a great outlet for me.

December 27, 2011-- Quite a synergy of superb items in Gail of Rocky Springs Vintage in her treasury entitled, "It's a Couple Thing" - http://www.etsy.com/treasury/MTE0Mzk0NTR8MTYyOTQ0ODkyNQ/its-a-couples-thing?page=1#comments

The barn sits on an old dairy farm with rolling hills, wild turkeys and fog most mornings. The big storage area is north of the Big Easy, New Orleans and bulges with wonderful farm tools, 1950's Ford tractors, cypress wood, silver, leather, antiques and one of a kind collectibles. As much as I hate to admit it I must say goodbye to many of our old vintage items. Some are antiques. Most are treasures of a lifetime that I don't mind sharing with you.

The vintage shop, Rocky Springs, was named after a favorite place on the Natchez Trace. The Trace is a historical path that extends roughly 440 miles (710 km) from Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee, linking the Cumberland, Tennessee and Mississippi rivers.

Curated by L & A of the fabulous L2Country shop:

I have always loved antiques and vintage items.

Since I was a child, I spent many hours at flea markets and Antique stores with my Mom, looking at wonderful things with histories, patina, and even secret stories to tell.
So, I guess my Mom's enthusiasm for “old” things is what inspired me to love them as well.

My father recently passed away and that's when my Mom and I decided to organize all our wonderful antiques and collectibles and see what needed to be stored away. (My parents always collected such lovely things).

Anyhow, my Mom & I decided that we would combine our collections and open up...

September 13, 2011-- Featured in the New York in Black and White Treasury:

Curated by Montee Wellman of Halle's House:

Halle's House is home to vintage, repurposed and new creations for your home.

I grew up in The South and love anything vintage. I have always loved things from the past, the beauty of God's world and creating pretty things.

I spent my early years on my grandfather's Tennessee farm. I loved the old stone house he and my grandmother shared. It was full of old books and antiques. We spent the days horseback riding and working the farm.
My grandmother and I would always sit on the porch or look out of the picture window of the old stone house and bird watch. She taught me about the love of Jesus, the love for nature, horses and music. I named my Etsy after her mother. In fact, the family in the picture above is of my great-grandparents and their three children, my grandmother being the oldest. Whenever I create, I think of my sweet grandmother.

My later years were spent in South Carolina. My family there taught me about boiled peanuts, Cathead biscuits and Catfish Stew. I learned to love the Carolina coast, the beauty of Charleston, the sound of the ocean and warm feeling on my skin after a day on Surfside Beach.

All these things have influenced me in how I think, how I view the things around me and how I create.

September 8, 2011-- Featured in the I HEART NY Treasury:

Curated by Nacy Hollinghurst of Pratorhurst Studios, Brooklyn, NYC:

As a deeply rooted southern girl, I first moved to New York City in 1998 to pursue a BFA at the School of Visual Arts. Upon completion, I returned south and began a career as a portrait artist and muralist. During this time, I was honored to be granted patronage for a “Grand Tour” of Europe to study and visit works of art I’d only seen in books. This once in a lifetime experience left me craving a more academic technique and I returned to New York once more to pursue an MFA in painting at the prestigious New York Academy of Art.
In the years since completing my degree, I have been working as an assistant for an internationally famous artist, as well as tirelessly striving for perfection in my own technique.
I started painting jewelry out of curiosity whether or not I could even paint that small! I was so excited with the result, and having so much fun with the challenges that it provided, that I became quickly.

August 23, 2011-- Featured in a super treasury entitled, "literal interpretation - the sound of silence."

Curated by Devin of http://www.etsy.com/people/OooohShiny

I've been crafty since I was old enough to get my fat little hands on a pair of safety scissors. I make/sell things that I would want to wear, which tend to be smaller and simpler. I take pride in knowing that each piece is carefully crafted and obsessed over until I'm confident it's worthy of being worn. I create because I love it - but, of course, it's always nice when someone else loves it, too.

August 14, 2011-- Featured in a super treasury entitled, "I can't wait to go back to New York."

Curated by Jenny whose delightful THE COZIE PROJECT can be viewed at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/thecozyproject?ref=pr_shop_more

I love being creative! My mom taught me to crochet in my early teens and now I carry a zippy bag of yarn and a hook almost every where I go.

These reusable cozies are environmentally friendly. They can be stashed in a pocket or purse and reused every day . They are sturdy, and keep your hot drink toasty while protecting your fingers from heat. They also work well on cold drinks absorbing condensation and preventing that ring of water from lingering wherever you set your cup.

I have been creating since I was about 7 years old and have enjoyed many different crafts over the years: sewing, knitting, ceramics, candy making, cake decorating, scrabooks and papercrafts.

I also enjoy supporting other artists with their businesses and like watching all of us be successful.

I add items almost everyday and I am sure you will find something you like. If you do not see what you're looking for; please convo me at I will create a papercraft especially for you.

All of my handcrafted cards are handstamped and punched. I also use premade embelishments. Each card is an A2 size and includes a white envelope unless another size and/or envelop color is stated.

Original, artisan fine jewelry; responsibly sourced natural materials. I use the highest quality freshwater pearls, undyed gemstones, conflict-free rough diamonds, and precious metals in my designs. My women's earrings and necklaces are original, versatile pieces that balance delicate and rustic elements. Men's bracelets are made with recycled glass, stone, and metals: ornamentation meets minimalism.

My personal style is deeply design-conscious, and I favor minimalist elegance, natural forms, and high-quality materials. Because most of my waking time is spent in a professional setting these days, I like to create versatile pieces that are equally appropriate at the office or the opera, with suits or with jeans.

August 6, 2011 Featured in the charming TO NEW YORK CITY Treasury:

Curated by Angela Prosper of Shutter Wax whose shop on Etsy can be viewed at:

I have been living and working in Seattle for 5 years now. I am your typical social anxiety ridden life of the party with few friends and many acquaintances. I am terrible with names, but I never forget a face. I dream in color. I eat breakfast for dinner. I have the same birthday as Charlie Chaplin, (if that says anything). An East coast soul with a West coast address. My work has me behind a desk all day but my hobbies have me on the move and creating. What more do you need to know?

My Love:
I have been taking pictures with my old Canon A-1 since I was 14 but no formal training to speak of. I have learned almost all of what I do from years of making all the right mistakes! An "outsider" artist in a way. All my pictures are either developed and printed by me or by a local film processing shop (Panda).

I recently got into encaustics and have been in love with it since the first drop of beeswax. It is the perfect medium for a girl like me. I get the textures and flow of acrylic, carving and molding of sculpture, and it is the best base for my photography. It makes the images tangible and is such a forgiving medium. If you are not familiar with encaustics, please check out this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encaustic_painting

This shop is called "Shutter Wax" because it is a place where I can bring my two passions together. I hope you enjoy what you see here and keep checking in as I will be adding new pieces, new links, and new photos regularly.

July 30, 2011-- Featured in the AS TIME GOES BY Treasury:

Curated by Joy Scott of Coastal Art Glass:

Our work is Big, Bright, and Bold. Individual, unique, handcrafted pieces that get attention. Make a statement. Own a piece of Joy !

I grew up in Greenwich Village, NYC. Then I went on to get a degree in Fashion Merchandising; after graduation spending several years working for high end retailers. Wanting something more artistic, I went to work as a photo stylist, working with the team developing the props and layouts for a group of well known photographers in New York. Over the years I have tried painting in oils, acrylics and watercolors. During my search for the right artistic fit, I spent years working on the wheel in pottery. I couldn't find the colors in the glazes I needed to express myself. Finally after taking courses in many different areas I found my calling in fused glass. I spent months taking courses in Arizona developing techniques and finding new methods to express my love of color and design.

I live in the beautiful Hudson Valley region of New York. I am a busy mom of three awesome kids and a speech-language pathologist who works with children with developmental and communication delays. I'm a late bloomer into the creative arts! I love photography and jewelry design. I opened RELM handmade in March of 2009, a traveling boutique and online shop which sells handcrafted jewelry and accessories from American and international artists. With design ideas swirling through my brain day and night, I finally unleashed my inner artist and began designing and crafting my own pieces.

July 28, 2011-- Featured in the A kiss is JUST a kiss treasury:

Curated by Molly of MollysMuses Fine Art Photography on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/MollysMuses

I remember so well the first roll of black and white film that I shot, processed and printed. A single flower that was a gift from my boyfriend in college (now my husband) filled the frame beneath the water; At that moment I realized I had even more control over the image after capturing it, truly making it my own, creating an image.
I have always loved working with my hands and analyzing things. As a child two of my favorite things were my square loom to weave pot holders and playing canasta with my Grammy. The loom offered my hands an outlet for my extra nervous energy and the card games which sometimes lasted hours offered so many choices and possibilities. And so it's not a surprise that looking at everyday things through my camera lens and seeing what else the subject has to offer really excites me.

July 28, 2011-- Newly featured in a treasury entitled, I always have to steal my kisses from you.

Curated by Sara of Montagyoo who creates beautiful photographs and collages.

transition in my life. In a short time, I was a college student, a grad student, a sick person, a healing person, a well person, a youth minister, a Sunday School teacher, a crisis therapist, and a grad student (again.) I lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia (again), and Mississippi. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I decided that I'm an artist. These days, I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with my husband and work full-time as a mental health therapist. My favorite moments are the ones when a client says, "Oh! I never looked at it that way before!" That's my goal as a therapist, and I'm realizing that it's my goal as an artist, too. I hope my images inspire you to see things in a new and more beautiful way. Thank you so much for looking.
