Description

"Gerhard Takes Manhattan"

Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas. 24" x 12" x 1.5"

This abstract painting is reminiscent of the Manhattan skyline with skyscrapers reflected in the water. It is stylistically inspired by the blurring and scraping technique of contemporary abstract artist Gerhard Richter.

This is a gallery-wrapped canvas, so the top, bottom, and sides are painted identically to the front surface. The title is painted on the bottom edge, where it does not interfere with the painting itself. Gallery-wrapped canvases are not typically framed, so this painting is ready to hang. If you choose to frame it, I recommend a floater frame, which will not actually touch the sides of the painting.

(Chair not included.)
