Maricela ~ Vintage Isidro Garcia Pina - Taxco Sterling Silver Bird with Blue Eye Pin / Brooch

This nicely made sterling bird pin was made in Taxco, Mexico by Maricela. Maricela was a silver shop owned and operated by Isidro Garcia Pina. The shop 'Maricela' was named after his daughter. It opened in the early 1940's and closed in the mid 1980's. The bird is in good vintage condition with age appropriate wear. I'm unsure what the blue eye is made of, but it's in good condition and well set. From beak to tail the bird measures 1 3/4 inches and is 1 inch in height. There is a straight pin with rolling lock in back in good working condition. The back of the head is hallmarked Maricela (in script) Tasco, 925, Sterling, Eagle #3.

Shipping policies

I try to use the cheapest shipping method available unless I hear otherwise from the Buyer. The items will be wrapped in bubble wrap or in an appropriate sized boxed with additional packaging material to insure a safe arrival. Some items will require a confirmation of delivery.
I currently ship to: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States.
I would strongly recommend finding out how much you may be required to pay for import taxes into your country prior to a purchase. Most import taxes seem unfairly high. I am required to fill out customs papers for any international shipments. All import taxes will be the buyers responsibility.
International shipping varies depending on where it's going and the weight of the packaged item. For each additional item I charge $.50.

Additional policies

All of what you will find here has been previously owned. As with all vintage jewelry, you should expect to find this jewelry worn, lightly scratched, and tarnished. Any major problems with the jewelry listed will be addressed in pictures and in description. We will never try to intentionally deceive a Buyer. I do polish some of the items, but not all. Generally if the piece has an even patina, I leave it alone. On the items I do polish, I often do not polish the back side. If you have specific questions, please send us an email.
