Welcome to view our listing of this Streamline Moderne Ivory Cremax MacBeth Evans Petalware Swirl 6-1/2" Bread/Dessert Plate!

This dinner plate was made by the MacBeth Evans Glass company and was located in the same town as our store is located. The dinner plate is a pattern referred to as Cremax Petalware and is an opaque translucent white with a raised white swirl pattern on them. Each dinner plate measures 6-1/2" in diameter and sits 1/2" in height.On the backside of the plate in the middle is 7 raised circular rings and directly in the middle in embossed lettering it says in text " MADE IN U.S.A.". The Cremax plate is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks.

The Macbeth-Evans Glass Company was an American glass company located in Charleroi PA. that created very good quality depression glassware with intricate designs. Mac-Beth Evans made hand blown glass before machines were used and machines came into play in 1930. In 1936 the Macbeth-Evans Glass company merged with Corning Glass Works who was also located in Charleroi PA.
Mac-Beth Evans made tableware and the most popular color used was white and the glass used was thinner than other companies. Some of the patterns Mac-Beth Evans made was the American Sweetheart that was opaque and Translucent White Monax. They created bowls, plates, saucers, sugars, creamers, tumblers, pitchers, tid-bit sets, salt & pepper. American Sweetheart was referred to as the R-pattern and produced from 1930 to 1936.
