Description

Gorgeous pair of 'grande dame' antique hand-painted hand-gilded porcelain studs. Very large, at 1 1/16" in length, in the harder-to-find oval shape. Delicate, very pretty forget-me-not (I believe) flowers, in beautiful sky blues. Generous application of gilding along the edge, and note the elegant design of the gilding. They are so beautiful. Made all the more special by the fact that unlike most porcelain studs, these are a matching pair. Very good condition, with light surface wear, and, as is often the case, some dust/dirt on the undersides.
