Handmade from durable Australian-made waterproof polyester cotton waxed canvas and thick, matte cowhide leather, and lined in certified organic natural cotton canvas. D E S C R I P T I O N
OUTSIDE
Australian-made Poly/Cotton blended canvas. This canvas is rugged, waterproof, stain-resistant and has a slightly stiff, rigid feel, giving the bag great support. The base of the bag is made from a thick soft cowhide leather with a matte distressed finish which often displays characteristic marks and scars of the hide.
The bag closes at the top with a zipper. On the outside are two large slip pockets on the front large enough to hold water / baby bottles and one full-width flat slip pocket with magnetic snap closure and which is wide and deep enough for books/magazines/tablet/small laptop.
The bag is made with light gold metal hardware. Silver hardware is available upon request, just add a note at checkout.
INSIDE
Lined in natural cotton canvas with five deep and wide slip pockets and a zipper pocket. Includes a detachable leather key fob so you can find your keys easily within.
HANDLES AND STRAPS
The shoulder handles and removable crossbody strap are made from thick bridle leather and are attached by rivets to the bag. The shoulder handles are 25" (64cm) in length with a 10" (25cm) drop.
The crossbody strap is 1" (2.5cm) wide with an adjustable length from 41" at the first hole up to around 50" on the last hole. This length is designed to give you flexibility in wearing the bag across the body or as a backpack and should fit both males and females comfortably. This strap is adjustable with a metal buckle.
If you would like the convenience of using your tote bag as a backpack, then select the Backpack conversion option when you purchase your diaper bag. Your bag will have 4 D-rings added to the back of your diaper bag, allowing you to switch your leather crossbody strap from the side D-rings by threading it through the back D-rings to create an adjustable leather backpack strap. LEATHER PRAM CLIPS.
Add a pair of matching thick bridle leather detachable pram clips to your order. These straps are made from the same leather as your bag handles. They are 1" (2.5cm) wide and 14" (35cm) long with a clip at either end, allowing you to clip to the side D-rings of your diaper bag and attach your bag to the handles of your pushchair or pram. A B O U T
> Leather is a natural product and no two hides are alike. The leather I use often has scars, marks and insect bites, a testament to the animal's life. Each hide will also differ slightly in dye colour, intensity and shade. The wax from the wax canvas may darken and soften the leather over time, enhancing the antique effect.
>The leather will be moderately water resistant (in a rain shower for example) but do not immerse in water. It will naturally soften and darken with time and use.
> Waxed canvas should not be washed with detergent or ironed - just gently wipe any stains or marks with a damp cloth and warm water or a dry brush.
> A sticky lint roller is the best way to remove fluff and lint from your canvas bag.
>Your bag will feel oilier in warmer conditions and less oily in colder conditions.
>Your bag may be re-waxed by a professional dry-cleaner that offers this service.
>The organic cotton lining may be spot cleaned with warm water and mild detergent.
