Description

VERY FEW AVAILABLE!!! SPECIAL PRICE !!!

This listing is for something really special Yellow Variegated Agave Queen Victoria-Regina, which is one of the rarest agaves available, and although slightly more common than its very expensive white counterpart, is still difficult to find a gem that will surely draw attention and stand out amongst your other plants. When mature, these agaves are up to 2 feet in diameter with a few getting larger and looks almost golden in the sunlight which it should get plenty of in order to get the best color from the plant. Although agave do die when they flower, it will take multiple decades for this to happen and the ward when it does, is a stalk filled with small queens agave , often many more a than any one person could keep making them great gifts, or, a reward that could also bring in some extra funds for your years of good care of plant. This listing is for a specimen the size of the images shown above and of equal quality. If you have any questions, please message me prior to ordering and i will be happy to answer them.

The largest plant currently left is growing in a 6 inch gallon container and are about 4.5-5 inches across (about the size of plant as in Image 2 but kept in a larger container to promote root growth) and will be shipped with extra packaging, semi-bare root, to be protected on the journey to you.

Also available are small, young variegated Queens which are currently growing in 4 inch cotnainers and are about 2.5-3 inches from the 2 furthest points.

*Priority Shipping bare root and packaged with care for safe travels to you!

**The outermost leaves may have slight imperfections which is normal and natural on any agave but can either be removed now or as they naturally do, be allowed to fully dry up and eventually fall off as they naturally do. Such damage would be VERY minor and does not affect the overall appearance of the plant.

SHIPPING & GENERAL INFO:

If you have questions, as always, I am more than happy to answer them, both now and down the road should you run into problems or have any general questions you'd like to know more about.

Shipping:
-Due to fragile nature of plants during transport, we ship only with priority, which ensures your package arrives without long term damaged caused by loss of light, extreme temps, and long travel. Priority packages also include insurance so rest assured that your investment is safe for this reason we are not liable for any loss or damage to shipments and in the extremely rare case such a matter occurs you must file a claim with the carrier with which i am happy to help.
- Semi- Bare root shipping will not injure your succulent. Due to their ability to store water in their leaves, these plants do not go through the same shock that a tree or non-succulent plant would so it will resume growth quickly after it is replanted, and sometimes even continuing while not before doing so.
- The plant (s) should be removed from their packaging upon arrival to prevent any additional loss of color or stretching which can occur slightly but after the plant is back in soil and receives sunlight again it will recover quickly (It's amazing what a succulent can handle soo this is not much stress when you compare it to its natural environment).fz

Note/Infos: Colorful Succulents is the Etsy store of Santa Barbara Succulents and Santabarbaracactus.com, a micro nursery with limited public access here in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains where we are blessed with ideal conditions for growing these wonderful plants. All of my succulents and cacti are individually cared for by me, Jens, and after initial propagation and for some, and indoor stage to protect the youngest seedlings, are grown outdoors with the goal of producing strong plants, therefore, maximizing their ability to withstand \hot/cold temperatures, pest and/or disease much better than big production, overfertilized/watered plants. SPecimensgrownunder natural conditions the way I do, are overall hardier than those grown in greenhouses or indoors under artificial lights and are often known to "deflate" once removed from their idealistic conditions and intense feeding schedules maintained by larger stores. The bottom line is, I try my best to grow Strong, Healthy Succulents and sell them to you at a fair price that covers my expenses and allows me to survive in an attempt to continue doing what I love to the best of my abilities!

CUSTOM ORDERS are always available upon request. I have a large collection of succulents and cacti currently being propagated, grown and cared for as described above but only post a few at a time so let me know if you have a specific plant you are looking for and even if I do not have the plant you are looking for, I will let you know within 24-36 hrs whether I am able to get it for you from one of my affiliates who iI work with on a regular basis to get you the best deals.

I wanted a refund. The item was described as a 5 inch Agave plant and what I received was a 3.5 inch specimen with 4 other (plant) types of offshoots (each under 3 inches). I contacted shop about my issue, with supporting pictures, and shop said they had to remove dead leaves from the plant and that is why it became smaller.
After going through the dispute resolution process, Etsy was unwilling to intervene, because the description said the plant to be sold was 'about 5 inches' in size.
For a slow growing agave to increase an additional 1.5 inches in size takes a long time, and that's why they can cost so much- which is why I feel the item received was misrepresented, or overpriced. As a long time customer, I'm dissapointed with both Etsy's and the seller's responses. Make sure to see pictures of THE PLANT you purchase.
