Description

This beautiful large coiled fabric basket was made using two different cotton fabrics. One solid red and the other solid black. I added a few Southwestern appliqués that I added cording around, and then hand painted each one. I then added fabric glitter to add dimension to the design. The inside of the basket has a black splatter dot effect. The print is of two Native American Women. Zoom in when you look at this basket to see all the intricate detail. Really beautiful.
Will definitely add beauty to any shelf or tabletop. Great for adding potpourri or other decorative elements.

Measures: 37" around the rim and is 6" deep
Colors: red, black, purple, turquoise, royal blue, gold, bronze,
Embellishments: Cotton appliqué, blue cording, fabric glitter, fabric paint

Method: I cut fabric into 1” strips and then wrap them around cotton cording. I then coil the wrapped cording using my sewing machine to create different shapes and sizes of creations. I then embellish with miscellaneous media
Materials used: I use mostly cotton fabric (batiks, glittered, metallic, and quality quilting cottons.
Embellishments include but are not limited to: glass, stone, clay , wood beads, sworvski crystals, crystal brads, buttons, bows, ribbon, feathers, various appliques, and sequins.
