The kitchen witch is found in the folk lore of many cultures. In Germany, a witch in the house is said to bring good luck. In many areas a sheaf of wheat is believed to ensure abundance. My kitchen witch covers both!
My kitchen witch is an original design. She is woven of golden North Dakota wheat, with Dakota blackberries durum wheat hair.
She measures about 10 inches high by 9 inches wide, 14 measuring the string, too.
Celebrate the season, and bless your home with abundance! Or give this weaving as the perfect housewarming gift.
Wheat weavings appear fragile, but last very well. I have the first ones I made almost 30 years ago. They can be dusted with a feather, or for more figorous cleaning, can be swished in light suds, rinsed and dried in it's original shape.
Don't be the only one flying around your kitchen!
