Description

My life has been pretty nutty. I was long ago abandoned and left to grow up among strangers. A strong wind came through and took off one of my arms. I didn’t mean to scare the people living in that nice little house below and I held on as much as I could so I didn’t hurt their home. Luckily, Kent came along and helped them clean up. ‘Luckily’ because all the people in the neighborhood kept talking about burning me in order smoke meats. They said it so lustfully and some even drooled. But instead of going up in smoke, now I live on as beautiful spalted bowls and artistic pieces decorating peoples homes all over.

Wood: Spalted Pecan

Size: 12.25" Diameter by 4" tall

Weight: 2 lb 8 oz

Finish: Linseed Oil and Beeswax

All my wood turned bowls are finished with food safe finishes. Avoid the microwave and dishwasher and do not submerge in water. Wipe clean with warm water and soap and wipe dry.

Each of my one-of-a-kind turning starts at the wood, obviously. But most important to me, every piece I turn is from reclaimed, salvaged or found wood. Taking wood that is neglected and potentially sent off to rot, decay, or worse, burn and turning it into an heirloom creation is one of the most satisfying processes I know. And now you can own the rewards of this incredible process.

FAQs

All my wood turned bowls are finished with food safe finishes. Avoid the microwave and dishwasher and do not submerge in water. Wipe clean with warm water and soap and wipe dry.

If the surface appears dry apply a food safe mineral oil available in many stores, or another food safe oil such as walnut, Danish, or linseed oil.
The size of each piece is listed in the description with diameter listed first followed by height. The diameter is the longest distance between widest edges left to right. The height is a straight vertical distance from the table top to the highest point of the piece.
Custom orders for wood turned pieces can be made based on the availability of reclaimed wood. Every effort will be made to communicate with drawings or sketches if needed, the look of the final piece prior to project initiation. All custom orders need to be paid in full in advance.
Currently, large quantity wholesale options are not available as each piece is made with love and attention to detail one at a time. If you are a retailer looking to add my works to your store, small order wholesale is available on a case by case basis. Contact me direct. Thank you.
If you are in the Ocala, FL area, I am willing to work out a delivery or meet up with you, if you would like. Please complete the order online and indicate that you would like to have the item(s) delivered. Thank you!
