Materials

Lotus charm, handmade tassel, honey jasper, green amazonite, handcarved bone beads, sterling silver spacers, pewter protective eye bead, TierraCast daisy spacers, USA made stretch cord, silver jump rings

This tasseled yoga bracelet with lotus charm is a lovely spiritual piece and perfect for any woman who appreciates meaningful jewelry, whether she is a practitioner of yoga and meditation or simply drawn to spiritual beliefs and religious symbols. The highlights of this mala-inspired stretch bracelet include the following:

• a silver lotus charm
• honey-colored jasper beads
• green amazonite rounds
• hand-carved ornate bone beads
• sterling silver spacers
• a pewter protective eye bead
• a handmade (by me) very pale gold tassel

The charm is from TierraCast (made in USA), with shiny silver plating and a clear stamp of the lotus image on its front side. The jasper gemstone beads are barrel shaped and impart a nice warm hue that complements the green amazonite. The ornate bone beads were handmade in India and also add to the warm and charm of the bracelet. The sterling spacers were made in Italy, and the protectve eye pewter bead was made in the USA. As for the tassel, I made it from embroidery thread, using a dab of glue to secure the knot of its binding thread.

Also included here are silver-plated jump rings, high-quality elastic cord (made in USA), and TierraCast silver-on-pewter daisy spacers (made in USA).

The general length of the bracelet is 7 inches. It should fit a wrist of 6.75 to 7 inches. If you don't mind loose bracelets, it should fit okay on a 6.5-inch wrist. (I have a 6.75-inch wrist, and it fits me fine.) If you have any questions about sizing, please contact me. I'll do my best to help.

I have included a photo of the bracelet with a ruler, to give you an idea of the relative size of the charm and the bracelet's beads.

This gemstone yoga wrist bracelet for women was handmade by me with care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It comes in a nice organza bag, wrapped and ready for gifting to someone special—perhaps yourself!

About the Lotus as a Symbol

There are many varieties of this flower, but when it comes to the lotus as a symbol, it's typically the white or pink lotus we think about and the spiritual importance ascribed to it in India and Asiatic countries. In Hinduism, this aquatic flower often serves as a seat or platform for divinities such as Vishnu and Ganesh; in Buddhism, any seated bodhisattva is likely to be seated on a lotus. Lotuses adorn headdresses and crowns in the iconography of these religions; in background landscapes of Tibetan scroll paintings (thangkas) they may float through skies or on rivers. Divinities and bodhisattvas often hold them as if they were precious jewels, and indeed, in meaning, they are the most precious jewel of all.

The key to the meaning of the lotus in all these cases is the purity and beauty of its many-petaled blossom despite its origins from a seed embedded in the mud of the water's bed below. Despite the world of illusion and blind egocentric desires (symbolized by the mud), awareness, growth, and transformation are possible (symbolized by the blossom). The lotus thus represents spiritual flowering and attainment—a great awakening from the dark, shadowy regions of ignorance and misunderstanding into the illumination of truth, beauty, and wisdom.

As meaningfully beautiful as it is physically beautiful, the lotus is one of the most positive symbols that history has given to us. It can be significant to anyone who is undergoing life changes, working toward inner peace (or outer!), or dealing with the many struggles we all have along life's course.

About Jasper

Generally, jasper is regarded as a warmly earthy, nurturing stone. Traditionally it is believed to be a talisman of sorts. Stability, tranquility, and healing are all commonly associated with jasper. It is composed mainly of chalcedony and quartz.

I like to ship quickly, usually 1 or 2 days after payment unless it's a weekend or holiday. Please ensure your shipping address is current.

U.S. ORDERS: I ship USPS First Class w/Tracking. If you want to purchase insurance or upgrade, please contact me.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: After many years of shipping internationally, I am temporarily ceasing such shipments.

However, if you live outside the U.S. and would like to buy something, contact me. I will do what I can to help. Be aware that any tariffs, customs fees, and surcharges are paid by the buyer.

Note that shipping is now very costly for USPS First Class International, which is what I would normally use. Also, if you live in the EU, I do not have GDPR policies at the moment.
I sincerely want you to be happy with your purchase.

Returns are accepted if you contact me within 7 days after delivery to you. I expect to receive the item no later than 2 weeks after delivery. If this timeframe is problematic for you, contact me before buying. Also, I do allow extensions for special holidays such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, as some people buy early, me included!

For All Items: I will refund for the purchase price minus original shipping cost.

You are responsible for return shipping with tracking (U.S.). Items should be in their original condition, with the original wrapping and packing materials. Extra items, like jewelry cards, gift bags, boxes, freebies, should be included.
Non-receipt: I will do my very best to help you if items go astray. Tracking provides information on the item's routing to its destination, and I always ship directly from the post office rather than relying on postal pick-up. Again, please be sure that your shipping address is CURRENT.

Damage: I pack orders well to minimize any problem in this area. However, if your purchase arrives damaged, contact me immediately. I will do my very best to help.
I accept PayPal and Etsy Payments. Please be aware that even if you are not a member of PayPal, you can securely use it to pay for your purchase with a major credit card.

Payment must be made within 24 hours of purchase or the order will be cancelled.

To Rhode Islanders: Sorry to say, but by law I must apply 7% sales tax to your purchase and pass it on to "the governor."

Buyers from other states may also be charged state sales tax. In this case, your tax payment is determined and handled by Etsy, not me.
Yes, I am always happy to accept a custom order! Whether or not I require a deposit, full amount, or neither will depend on the nature of the order. I have done a number of such orders elsewhere with no deposit or purchase required, as I knew I could simply add those items to my inventory if the customer decided not to purchase. (Customers always did purchase them, though.) I always show photos of custom orders to the customer.
If you are buying a gift for someone and have used that person's address for shipping, please let me know at the time of ordering - I will be happy to include a complimentary notecard in which is written whatever message you would like to send.

Of course, I am always happy to send to that person's address. Just please make sure it is CURRENT. Thank you!
