Description

This shortened set of Christian rosary beads is based on the layout of the full Anglican rosary, and has one week of prayer beads in the loop with 2 beads in the front drop. The short version of the rosary is known as a chaplet or a pocket rosary and they are designed to help focus the mind in meditative prayer. Because they are easy to slip into a pocket or purse, they are great for people on the move or traveling, and are suitable for all Christian faiths including Anglican, Protestant, Catholic & and Episcopalian.

For the 7 week beads in the loop I have chosen greenstone beads (nephrite jade) with a faceted finish, each about 8mm round. These prayer beads are separated with small Czech glass and silver-plated beads for ease of handling, and the loop meets at a center connect of the Holy Spirit dove and cross.

The the front extension are two paua shell heart beads. These natural shell beads are New Zealand's native abalone shell with unique vibrant blue and green colors. I've finished these beads - the invitatory (opening) prayer bead and the cruciform bead - with wee Swarovski crystals and wire-wrapping. The chaplet begins and ends with a Byzantine styled pewter cross.

Handy for slipping into a pocket, purse or desk drawer, these little rosary prayer beads are suitable for regular use, and would make a thoughtful gift for someone special.

Length: 23cm (9 1/4 inches inches)
Cross: 2.5cm (1 inch)

This little greenstone and paua shell rosary comes attractively packaged, along with a card explaining a bit about the Anglican rosary and some suggestions for using the beads as an aid to prayer and meditation.

Shipping policies

PAY SHIPPING ON THE FIRST ITEM ONLY. You only pay shipping for the first item in your order. All other purchases made at the same time and going to the same address will hop into the parcel for free. The option for free shipping will appear as you add more than one item to your cart.

Expedited shipping to most countries is available and can be added to your cart here : http://etsy.me/2qV6Ixr

All parcels are sent within 72 hours of payment being received, often they fly away the same or the next day (excluding weekends and public holidays). I cannot "guarantee" a delivery date - that is up to the various carrier services & your local Post Office systems.

International buyers are responsible for all duties and taxes that may be payable in their own countries. These are taxes charged by some countries on some goods imported into the country over a certain threshold in value.

Taxes & duties are not part of shipping costs and are not charged by me, the NZ Government or by Etsy, and (if assessed or payable) are the responsibility of the purchaser to pay in their own country. Please contact me before purchase if you have any queries about these costs, or refer to your own Government's information services, or this website may be helpful to you: http://www.dutycalculator.com/country-guides

Please contact me before purchase if you are unsure what these charges mean for you.

I carry my own insurance against loss or damage in transit, so please contact me if there are any issues in this regard. For claims for damage, I will require photos of the wrapping or packaging damage and of the broken item (for the insurance company) before a refund can be processed.

Additional policies

BRACELET SIZES: To get the best fit for your bracelet, measure your wrist with a soft tape measure, or use a piece of thin string and make a mark where the string crosses over then measure between the marks with a ruler. Add 1 inch (2.5cm) to that length for a bracelet that has a clasp - do NOT add anything for a stretch bracelet.

For babies and children, add just 1/2 inch (1.5cm) to the actual wrist measurement if the bracelet has a clasp, do NOT add anything if it is a stretch bracelet.

Choose a bracelet length from the drop down menu at checkout or contact me for a custom size.

Most of my adult bracelets can be made in lengths between 6" and 9". Smaller and larger sizes are available, but may require some design changes to make sure the overall look is balanced. Please don't hesitate to ask.
