"Houston, Texas" by Ken Arthur. A spectacular piece of art to honor the largest city in Texas. Glittering in the sun on a clear day, downtown Houston stands proud. A must-have painting for a Texas home or office. Give a unique gift---a piece of art---to a special person---for a special occasion. Ken applied acrylic medium to add a thick rich texture to the buildings and used both metallic and non-metallic paints to catch the bright sunlight and deep shadows of Houston's skyscrapers. (A face-to-face viewing is best! A photograph does not do the painting justice!)

Ken's interest in Houston goes beyond his architectural profession ( current status: Architect Emeritus). His mother grew up in Houston, where she attended Rice University, and met his father. Then, his grandparents moved to a bayou just south of Houston where Ken spent a large portion of his childhood---like a barefoot boy out of a Mark Twain story---swimming in the bayou, climbing trees, watching the drawbridge lifting and tugboats chugging along the river, carrying his pellet rifle just in case he met a dangerous water moccasin. So, working on his Houston Cityscape brought back special memories for him---adding happy, positive energy to his brush strokes and pallet knife.

Facts about the painting:
-Original, one-of-a-kind
-Stretch canvas, 12"x36"x1.5"
-Acrylic paints and medium, brushes and pallet knife
-Edges (1.5") painted and ready to hand with hanger wire
-Unique and impressive gift for you, someone special, or a business colleague
-Lovely and stately
-Will enhance any wall and any area
